Cookies
Everything this site stores in your browser, and why. We do not currently store anything you would need to consent to.
These documents describe how rctuners actually works, but they have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They will be before the site opens.
There is nothing to consent to at the moment
We do not run analytics, we do not run advertising, and we do not load any third-party script. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner.
Everything below is either needed to sign you in, or is a setting you changed yourself. Neither requires your consent — but you should still be able to see exactly what is there, which is what this page is for.
If that ever changes, you will be asked before anything optional is stored, and the choice will be as easy to refuse as to give.
Strictly necessary — always on
Signing you in, remembering your cookie choice, and keeping the site working.
rct_session (cookie) — Keeps you signed in. Kept: 1 day, or 30 days if you chose to stay signed in.
rct-consent (localStorage) — Remembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked again. Kept: 12 months.
rct-skew (sessionStorage) — Detects a stale copy of the site in your browser cache and reloads it once. Kept: Until the tab closes.
Functional — always on
Remembering a setting you changed, like the theme or the text size. Only written when you change it.
rct-theme (localStorage) — Remembers light or dark, when you choose one. Kept: Until you clear it.
rct-text (localStorage) — Remembers the text size you chose. Kept: Until you clear it.
rct-conv-text (localStorage) — Remembers the conversation text size for this kind of device. Kept: Until you clear it.
rct-chat-frame (localStorage) — Remembers a conversation you left docked, so it is still there on the next page. Kept: Until you close it.
Clearing it
Clearing site data for rctuners.com in your browser removes every one of these. You will be signed out and your settings will go back to their defaults; nothing else is lost.
